Welcome to the Think Blissful blog and podcast, where we make sense of the law of attraction!
I’m calling this episode “more signs from the universe”
And I titled it this way because I already talked about signs from the universe on episode TB 27
It’s always beneficial to cover a topic again because there’s always a different approach, and what better way to approach a topic than when you ask a question for clarity?
Once again, I’m recording this episode is recorded during the Covid-19 pandemic
I’m over a 1,000 miles from home, so I’m recording without my professional recording equipment – please bear with me if the sound isn’t perfect
So today’s question comes from Katherine, a listener inquiring about clarification regarding signs from, and communication with, the universe

Hey Scott! My name is Katherine and I am a beginner to manifestation and the law of attraction. Your podcasts have helped me gain a better understanding of the law of attraction and I truly enjoy listening to you. Thank you so much for these!

I was just listening to “TB 27: Signs From The Universe” and that sparked some curiosity in me.

Now, gathering from YouTube videos and the bits and pieces of books I read, my understanding is that the universe is constantly guiding us and talking to us through signs and that being aware helps us notice these signs. I have also heard that we can ask the universe for signs when we need clarity or confirmation. And I also know that we attract more of what we focus on and based on our beliefs.

My question to you is: Does the universe actually communicate with us through signs or are these “signs” what we manifested consciously or subconsciously? I can’t wrap my head around what’s something I manifested and what’s something that is guidance/ a sign from the universe. Or are they the same thing? How do I ask the universe for a sign without manifesting what I want to see/ hear?

Signs From The Universe

I received a pretty cool question from a listener

Her name is KC

Her question is a little different from most that I receive because it makes us think about manifestation from a different angle

We often ask how to manifest something we want that we do not have, and therefore we have to pay attention to our vibrational offering – specifically, are we vibrating the joyful anticipation of our desire, or are we vibrating the lack from frustration or disappointment

Today, we are going to approach the law of attraction from what may appear to be a more neutral approach

Here is the letter I received, slightly edited for clarity. Nothing was altered regarding her actual question

This email was part of a dialogue

Thank you so much for answering my questions!! Everything you said made sense.

I do have another question. Two weeks after I wrote you that email, I was reading a discussion board post about signs from the Universe. You can ask the Universe for signs as confirmation. So, I thought, why not, I will try this.

I asked the Universe (that) if I was meant to attract this specific person into my life, to please show me a shovel for yes. If not, and I should leave this (person) alone, to show me black roses as a sign for no. I choose those two items because I don’t see them in my daily life.

I would say about 4 or 5 days later, I see a shovel. Like it was the most normal thing ever. It just appeared.

Here’s my question. I’ve always wondered about signs and asking for them. Would you say I attracted this, or is this truly the Universe speaking and confirming my question.

If you ask for a sign, forget it and get it, was it the Law of Attraction or the Universe talking?

So was it a more neutral approach?

Perhaps a bit more neutral because the intensity of the awareness of what we do not have was replaced with a “let me test and see” kind of approach

Nonetheless, we still create with our true beliefs

KC manifested the shovel because that is what she wanted to see

This is not to be confused with the manifestation of the relationship
