We all choose the path we take in life. Few realize that it is easier to be successful than to be a failure. The journey to success is also easier than the default path to failure, but you must do a few things differently.
Show Notes
Here is an outline of what you can expect from this podcast episode. Listen to the podcast if you can, as I go into more detail which will help you.
Success Is Easier Than Failure
- That’s a bold statement
- And it’s absolutely true
- It’s an interesting concept to grasp
- Let’s review some examples
- We’ll take a look at the things you need to do differently
If it is true, than why aren’t I successful?
- I did not say that success is easy, I said it is easier than failure
- Let’s take a look at failure
- How hard is failure?
- Always working to make the next payment
- Always worrying about how you are going to meet your financial obligations (pay the bills)
- Frustrated that you are unable to have the things you desire
- Stressed and in need of a vacation
- Can you see all the negative vibrations? How does it feel?
- Now let’s take a look at success
- Now look at success…
- It’s fun, no worries
- You are doing what you love and you are making money doing it
- You look forward to the day, and to your objectives
- You buy the things you want without going into debt
- You take time off when you want to
- So now you can see that living successfully is far easier than living as a failure
- Which do you think is easier?
- Oh, you say that it’s getting there that is hard
What about getting there… becoming successful?
- You should also know that it is also easier to become successful than it is to fall into despair
- Yes, this is true too!
- I say so, because neither success nor failure is a destination, they are both a journey… which one are you on?
- Getting there is “being” there! It’s a state of being, a state of doing, a state of actions and decisions
So what’s the difference and what can I do differently?
- The difference is making an conscious effort to choose the path of success
- It’s a choice… you must make the decision to go for it
- You must set a goal to attain
- You must persist!
- Have you made decisions?
- You must decide on success
- Failure is the default, when specific decision aren’t made
- That’s because life without a planned destination is like a ship without a rudder… sooner or later you will end up on the rocks, and you definitely will not end up where you want to go
- The difference between success and failure is a GOAL, DECISION, and PERSISTENCE – That’s it
There is work to be done
- Whether you choose success, or you default to failure, there is work to be done
- Working towards success is fun, invigorating, and full of energy
- Working to maintain failure is hard, discouraging, and full of worry
- Don’t forget the importance of persistence
- Looking towards your desire will keep you going
- There is no instant gratification here
- Those who fail are choosing some kind of instant gratification and/or choosing to avoid pain
- Remember, success is a journey, not a destination
Easier said than done… how can I make that easier?
- Yes, it is easier said than done, but no matter how tough it may be, it is still an easier path than failure
- When you fail, you are stuck there
- You have no choice but to live that more difficult route
- FYI: You are not actually stuck, you can make a new choice
- There are ways to make it easier
- The secret is pursuing a desire with enthusiasm
- (as opposed to seeking work to make money)
- That’s it!
- You have to choose a goal anyway (you cannot get “there” if you do not know where “there” is)
- You may as well set a goal doing something you love
- This universe will not deliver something for nothing
- Your reward will be directly proportional to the value you provide
- When you are looking for a way to make money, you are seeking a destination
- So set your goal doing something you love to do
- When you have a worthy goal, you are on your journey
- You MUST have a worthy goal!
Let’s recap
- Success is easier than failure
- It’s easy to see that living successful is easier than living as a failure
- It is also easier to become successful than to become a failure
- The difference is being willing to do things that do not bring immediate results
- You must also make a decision, set a goal, and go for it – enjoy the ride!
- It may seem like a lot of work (and it is), but it is EASIER than failing!
